Christopher promptly stopped speaking and looked away, guilt eating away at him yet again. He could have gotten Jim hurt and he hadn't even known it. Stupid! How could he have been such an idiot?

Pike nodded at McCoy's words.

"I'll take James to Chapel and you can deal with Christopher. Boys, I am very disappointed in the both of you. As Admiral of the Fleet, you are both on lock down for the next six weeks. There will be no trips off this ship unless your are with myself or Doctor McCoy. McCoy, see if you can't find something for your boy to do with his free time on board ship. Maybe he should start working on his tests for the Academy." That said, he grabbed James' arm again and took him down to sick bay leaving Chris and McCoy alone.
