He'd managed to lose his older self, which in turn lost the Admiral. There was no way he was going to let those two ruin his fun. So he heads out and gets drunk off his ass and while drunk he ends up getting a nice lovely tattoo along the center of his back. It should've hurt, but it didn't. Though that was probably because he was drunk off his ass and wasn't really thinking straight. Not like he actually had a brand to say he was an owned man. Teen... whatever...

But after getting the tattoo, he just heads out with the intent to have a bit more fun.

Pike slowly reigns himself in and drops down into a nearby chair, dropping his head into his hands.

"I don't know if I'm making the right decision here," he whispers finally. "I'm not making it with my head... I'm doing all this on emotion... and that's not what a Master does... at least not one that's a fucking Admiral for the Empire..." He slowly shook his head, trying to force the tears back. "I'm seriously thinking about retirement, James," he forces out softly.

Pike leans back in his chair, dropping an arm over his eyes, not sure what more to say at the moment. He's fucking exhausted. He hasn't slept more than a handful of hours over the past week and he's not about to go see McCoy for help either.

"Come here, sir." He says softly. "If you want, I can have Bones keep an eye on James for a while that way it's just us and you can get some sleep."

Pike doesn't even argue, proving just how worn out and close to the edge he is in that moment as he drops down onto the bed and is almost instantly asleep.

Jim contacts Leo's quarters and talks to Bones about keeping tabs on the boy for a while. "I've got you, sir."
