Pike holds him tightly and then picks him up and takes him to the bed, laying him on his stomach before retrieving the med kit he keeps nearby.
"I think there is," he says quietly. "I think the boy needs to be sent back to Earth and be made a ward of the Fleet until he finishes schooling. After that then maybe I'll see about bringing him back on board the Enterprise."
