Pike does nothing more than just continue to hold him, to rock him and to soothe him as much as he can with just his voice and easy touches along his back. He feels the wetness of the tears against his chest and he just holds James a little tighter.
"I'm so proud of you," he whispers softly. "You were so good and you didn't fight against me on it. I am so very proud of you. You did very good for your first time like this..."
