Jim, for the most part, was starting to get restless. And a restless Captain was no good. Not in his eyes anyway. Just to appease Spock, Bones and his crew he'd stopped going on away missions. Well, the dangerous ones anyway. Now though he was becoming restless and couldn't sleep, much less in that room alone. Which was why he was walking around the ship. It helped to sooth him... sometimes. He'd just have to see if it did that tonight or not.

Jim moans and grips Spock bruisingly tight as comes hard, spilling against their stomachs.

Spock is right there with him as he comes, spilling deep inside of his beloved, dropping his mouth to the side of Jim's neck, biting down gently as he does so.

"Mmm..." Jim murmurs, giving Spock a smile, his body completely sated now.

Spock smiled and kissed the side of Jim's neck softly before pulling back slowly, watching his husband carefully, one hand brushing along Jim's stomach, feeling their child moving just beneath.

"I love you, T'hy'la," he whispered softly.

Jim can't help the smile that forms when he feels their child move.

"I love you too," he whispers back.

"Shall we return to bed now?" Spock asks softly.

"Mmm... bed sounds real good right now."

Spock pulled back and got them both as cleaned up and decent looking as he could before leading James from the observation room and back to their quarters. He pulled his husband into the shower with him first, though, before letting them both retreat back to their bed. Spock wrapped his arms around Jim and held him close.

"We haven't much longer to wait until our child arrives," he whispered softly.

Jim lets himself be manhandled back to their room, to the shower and then to bed. However, he gives a smile at the mention of their child. "I can't wait until our child gets here."

"I know you are supposed to see Doctor McCoy tomorrow, Jim. Will you ask him to let you know if our child will be a boy or a girl?"

"No, I won't ask him. I want it to be a surprise. So either when the child is born or if the child decides we should know."

Spock pressed his hand against his husband's stomach, as if trying to reach out to their child before slowly shaking his head.

"Clearly our child will be stubborn like his father," he said with a smile.

"Oh, so that means the child will be stubborn like you then." Jim says with a slight chuckle. "Seeing as you're our child's father."

Spock looked at him, clearly amused.

"So you will call yourself our child's mother then?" he said playfully. "And I believe that stubborn streak comes from you, love. I was a very well behaved child."

"You're stubborn as hell when you want to be, Spock." He says with a slight chuckle.

Spock gives him one last smile before closing his eyes.

"Sleep, my love. We should enjoy the quiet while we have it for once our child is born, I have a feeling such peaceful nights will be a thing of the past."

"Oh, I know they will be." He murmurs before curling up against Spock, letting his eyes close and just listens to the Vulcan's breathing before letting himself fall asleep.
