iamnotmyfatherIt was a new planet. They'd already dealt with the treaties and were given permission to explore the planet. So that's what Jim was doing. Exploring. It's when he sees the beautiful woman not that far from him. She seemed so out of place compared to everyone else here.

Grabbing his comm he has Scotty beam them onboard. Even if his engineer isn't sure what to think of the captain bringing someone new onto the ship.
